About Contact Distribution

Contact Distribution Ltd. was founded in 1988 to address the needs of professional audio users by providing a level of support above the mean of the industry. After many years of involvement in Pro Audio as a musician, technician, and sales representative, it became apparent that the market would support a new distribution company that was customer service oriented and focused on premium caliber product.

        Contact Distribution Ltd. prides itself on being professional audio and video specialists offering technical support and product application assistance for their network of authorized dealers which range from retailers and installation contractors to the nation's production companies. From our inception we have strategically chosen manufacturers who's position is "best of brand" with the desire to offer our customers a complete portfolio of front-end to back-end solutions - mics to speakers, and everything in between. We will not represent mediocre or "me too" products and feel our brands all offer true distinctions and advantages that their competitors don't. As important as their products, are our manufacturer's attitudes and commitments to our staff and our customers up here in the "frozen north". We've accumulated some of the greatest audio (and now video) personalities for support whose relationship to Canada is honest, attentive and not overbearing or capricious. This relationship guarantees continuity for the future and value in a long term return on investment for our users, our dealers and for Contact. In today's climate of corporate mergers and unaccountability we feel it has to be personal and for our manufacturers it is.

For almost 20 years Contact has proudly been involved in some of Canada's (and the US as well) most significant audio and video projects. We've been fortunate to work alongside North America's best consultants assisting in designs, some of the best contractors and the country's greatest technicians and operators and covered the gamut of diverse applications of performing arts centres, churches, broadcast/recording, corporate A/V, touring live sound and cinema both commercial and residential. We're proud to say that over the years no project or piece of gear that left our building was ever deemed as trivial. Our passion for excellence won't allow that and neither will our manufactures nor our dealers of whom we expect the same commitment.

Aside from regular business hours, we're accessible after 5:00 PM and on weekends because logically most of our gear and our customers are working at that time. We maintain a fully stocked and capable service department with emergency back-up product if needed because we won't let our customers loose a show. Our sales staff encourage evaluation and demonstration of our products whenever possible via our dealers so that the often "less than subtle" performance nuances of our brands can be appreciated. Something that more and more gets lost in the overall myriad of industry data sheets and propaganda we're all subjected too.
